Essex Environment Trust is able to provide funding, received as contributions from landfill operators, through the Landfill Communities Fund, for environmental improvements and community projects within the county of Essex that satisfy the requirements of the Landfill Tax Regulations 1996 as amended.
The Trust is an approved environmental body and is a non-profit making company, limited by guarantee. The Trust is not controlled by any local authority, landfill operator or company. It is served by:-
